FAQs

What is the point of sheer curtains?

Sheer curtains are fantastic for offering privacy and gently diffusing glare, whilst allowing natural light into your room.  They are perfect in spaces where you are overlooked, such as a street-facing room, or in spaces where you want to connect the indoors with the outdoors, such as in a kitchen or extension.

Can my neighbours see through my sheer curtains?

During the day, sheer curtains limit visibility from outside. At night, however, when lights are on indoors, their filtering effect is reduced.  We recommend pairing them with solid curtains for full privacy.

What is the difference between sheer and voile curtains?

Both are lightweight, semi-transparent fabrics. Voile is a type of sheer curtain, usually made from cotton or polyester with a slightly crisper feel, while "sheer" is a broader term that includes various light-filtering fabrics.

Can I get sheer curtains made to measure?

All of our sheer curtains are made-to-order and are available in 5cm to 10cm size increments to ensure the perfect fit for your space. We also provide bespoke, made-to-measure curtain services if you’re looking for something truly unique.
