How to Install Curtains and Blinds for a Bay Window

Curtains
Make sure the area in front of your bay window is clear of furniture and easy to access. You will need a helping hand during installation.
Your bay pole will have been angled to the unique shape of your bay, and will be supplied in two halves, which will need to be joined together, using the joining piece. The seam will be covered by the centre bracket. You will need to lift the whole pole onto the brackets, so you will need an extra pair of hands.
To install the bay pole, follow our guide for installing Metal Poles in our How to Install Curtains guide.
Your passing brackets are designed to support the bends in the pole, so position them within 15cm of a bend in the bay. Follow the instructions for fitting centre brackets when fitting your passing brackets.

Blinds
Start by installing the front blind (the one that will sit in your centre window) using our How to Install Blinds guide.
Then hold up your side blinds and check their placement, ensuring they don’t touch or rub against the front blind, and install the side blinds.
Once all three blinds are fitted, wind them down and up again to check they move smoothly and stay level.
If you need to adjust the position of the side blinds just open the lever arms and slide the headrail left or right to the desired position.
